Metal started in the 1960’s and 1970’s and had influences from Blues-Rock and Psychedelic Rock.  And at that time, you could find it the United Kingdom and the United States.  Since then, Metal has grown to be loved worldwide and has more than 19 subgenres of what is called Heavy Metal.  These 19 subgenres differ in tempo, vocals, and style of playing, but they are not limited to these differences.

So, in my opinion, I gave it a chance and I should have left it out of the mix.  I found the music way too hard and mean to listen to.  I chose songs that were “modern Metal” such as Mastodon, All that Remains, and Metallica, and I just it too harsh.  I couldn’t understand the lyrics because I could not hear them over the electric guitar solos and the overloading of the amps.

I would not listen to this genre ever again.  I personally don’t enjoy being yelled at.  But to some, they enjoy this music.  And that is their choice.  So the end result, one genre in the no bucket.
